Great question! So many students and adults alike ask this question every day.
Try this:
Download and print this timetracker. Have it with you throughout the day!
Take notes on how you have been spending your time.
Note: This timetracker is NOT a planner. You do not fill it in advance, but after the time has passed.
Here is an example:

At the end of each day or week, ask yourself the following questions:
What am I glad I made time for today this week?
How can I better spend my time tomorrow / next week?
Common issue
(i mean you are only human...)
“I did this for one day and then I forgot about it…”
Solution: Find an accountability partner! You don’t have to share the details of what you did in a day, but check in to remind each other to fill in your timetrackers!
Even if you missed one day, it’s okay! Continue the next day! It takes a while to build a new habit!
